Job Description:

Job Purpose:

The Chicago Community Trust is seeking an individual with enjoys working with data and has a commitment to drive change to contribute to the Chicago Community Trust’s Learning and Impact department. This position will work a hybrid schedule (part in office/part remote) out of our brand new office at State and Madison Streets in the Loop.

Cycle Time Commitment: June 1, 2022 through September 30, 2023

Ideal majors: computer science, anthropology, sociology, psychology, social work (administrative focus), data analytics, data science, public policy, engineering, economics, biostatistics, statistics, mathematics, urban planning

Hours per week: 21, with hybrid work schedule.  Must be local to Chicago.

Specific Responsibilities:

  • Assist in data collection, cleaning, analysis and reporting
  • Support data visualization projects
  • Participate in the design, implementation and analysis of focus groups
  • Provide GIS support
  • Partner with Trust staff to support data use
  • Summarize and synthesize data and evidence (reporting, memos, dashboards)
  • Provide Technical Assistance as Needed to Internal and External Stakeholders
  • Provide Research Support on Key Topics
  • Assist in the refinement of procedures and process to increase organizational efficiency

Key Skills and Competencies:

  • Analytical foundation
  • Proficiency with Essential Software
  • Analysis & Presentation
  • Strong Emphasis on Collaboration and Teamwork
    • Microsoft Office with an emphasis on Microsoft Excel - Required
    • GIS Platforms (QGIS, ESRI, Leaflet, etc) - Preferred
    • Tableau or Other Data Visualization Software(s) - Preferred
    • Experience with Statistical Software (R, Stata, SPSS) - Preferred
